  • Baptist Catechism - Part II

Asking and answering the most important questions in the world.

In Galatians 6:6 he says, “Let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.” In this verse the Greek word for “instruct” or “teach” is katecheo. From this word, we get our English word “catechize.” It simply means to teach biblical truth in an orderly way.  Content: The catechism covers a wide range of topics, including:

    • God: His attributes, the Trinity, and His decrees.
    • Humanity: Creation, the fall, and the sinful state of humanity.
    • Salvation: Christ's role as Redeemer, atonement, and the means of grace.
    • Church: The nature and ordinances of the church, including baptism.

    Facilitated by: Pastor Tim Haupt

  • Don't Give Up: Faith that gives you the confidence to keep believing and the courage to keep going  by Kyle Idleman

Our lives are minefields of challenges that take their toll on our courage, our conviction, and even our faith. But God whispers to the weary, Don't Give UP.

Drawing from a backdrop of Hebrews chapter 11 and personal testimonies of perseverance, this book will encourage you to cast your concerns on God, trust in His love and timing, pray for patience and strength, and seek out support in the family of God, the church.

Everyone needs encouragement, even those who don't think they do. Both soft and hard encouragements help us to persevere in faith all the way home.

    Facilitated by: Pastor Gordon Dawley

  • Twelve Ordinary Men: How the Master shaped His disciples for greatness, and what He wants to do with you  by John MacArthur

What is most amazing about the disciples is that Jesus ever selected them at all. When you take a fresh look at the disciples, you'll be faced with a stunning fact: They were ordinary, hopelessly human, remarkably unremarkable. But, they were available and obedient to the Master's call.

You'll walk in their shoes. You'll understand their doubts and hopes. And you'll hear the power of Jesus' words in a whole new way. If Christ can accomplish His purposes through the live of common men like these, imagine what He has in store for YOU!

    Facilitated by: Pastor Jay Swope

  • Good & Angry: Redeeming anger, irritation, complaining, and bitterness by David Powlison

This study will help you reframe the universal problem of anger through an in-depth exploration of God's anger and ours. Full of practical help for all who struggle with how to respond when life goes wrong.

Someone has said, "All of us struggle with the hot unpleasantness of emotions and desires on the spectrum of anger. This problem frustrates us, saddens us, and often enslaves us. We need a wise and gracious guide to point us to the mercy of God's Word"

    Facilitated by: Russell Jones
  • God of Covenant: A study of Gen. 12-50 (Ladies Only)

Two Meeting options: Thurs @ 10 am and Sunday @ 6 pm

Beginning with Genesis 12, walk alongside the fathers of our faith—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph—to discern Jesus in the stories of His people. Discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people, and see how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

You will discover how every story in the Bible points to Christ, learn to view the lives of biblical figures in the larger context of Scripture, challenge your basic understanding of familiar stories, and gain knowledge of who God is as He has revealed Himself through Scripture.

    Facilitated by: Debbie Cooper
